Currently working on the Google Publisher Tag (GPT) and the front-end tag for AdSense. These products have billions of daily users and are used across millions of websites, so improving their performance can have a significant effect on the web as a whole. I work on measuring, understanding, and exposing the latency effects of ads and how latency affects monetization. Many of my projects have been to reduce latency and therefore increase revenue for publishers and decrease the performance cost of ads for users.

As a member of the front-end team for desktop maps, I implemented a birthday easter egg feature where users see a different pegman on their birthday. This involved tying in the maps backed with google plus, and many performance tweaks and testing to ensure it did not slow down the initial load time of the map itself. I also implemented a similar pegman promotion for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where the user could choose either the light side or the dark side, and the pegman would change according to their choice. Finally, I helped the team implement a completely new interface that more closely followed Material Design specifications. All my features were fully tested and released in production on www.google.com/maps.

Worked on the Search Logs Quality team in primarily JavaScript and Golang to design and implement improvements to an internal tool for monitoring search logging bugs used by various teams.I proposed and implemented a new cache interface to reduce the number of RPC calls made to the API providing bug data, speeding up the tool significantly for those engineers on triage duty.All my code was tested, reviewed, and pushed to production.

Currently working with a team of students to revamp RPI's CAPP report system, which tracks student progress and is used by the Registrar's office as a record of completed classes. Our goal is to add a Plan of Study, with an easy to use GUI that will allow the student to drag-and-drop classes and plan his/her four years at RPI. This will be integrated with the Registrar's system to automatically register students in classes and alert the student's advisor of his/her classes and what classes the student plans to take.

Held weekly office hours for students who had questions and needed help. Prepared and coordinated life-skills program for students, including time management and test preparation tips.
