I am happy to annouce my newest venture into the world of elder care. The Life Enrichment Center is a well-established organization that has provided excellent care to seniors for more than thirty-years. As I join my peers in navigating the options available for my own parents (Dad, age 90 and Mom, age 82) the Center serves as an ideal example of what resources can be found supported by a communty of caring individuals. In addition to its daily senior programs the Center is developing programs for individuals ages 50 and up (that's us!) that include a caregiver's support group, evening exercise and wellness classes, and age specific social activities. I can't wait to get started! Wish me luck!

Nassau Land Trust is an up and coming organization that you will be hearing more and more about. They currently oversee the historic Grossman's Farm in Malverne and are working to acquire more properties. More on the organization as I get my feet wet. Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center provides an all inclusive Holocaust education resource. In addition to offering teacher training and Holocaust curriculum for schools, the Center provides a unique educational opportunity teaching the lessons of the Holocaust to inspire and encourage tolerance in schools, workplaces and the community. The Center houses the largest collection of Holocaust and Tolerance books and research materials and is affiliated with local survivors who speak on the subject.

Ronald McDonald House of Long Island provides a home away from home for families while their child is undergoing medical care at a local hospital. The House is located on the campus of Long Island Jewish Hospital, adjacent Schneiders Childrens Hospital. This is truly an amazing organization I had the privilege to lead through many transitions and tremendous growth. My final three years at the House I oversaw a 5 million dollar capital campaign and an expansion of the facility from 18 bedrooms to 42 bedrooms.
