As adjutant of the battalion I am the assistant to the battalion's commander. Together with my team of some 5 to 10 soldiers and officers, I am responsible for the personnel and administrative matters of the battalion (such as qualifications, development of officers, and the chancellery).

After coming back from my assignment in New York, I started to get involved in crypto currencies and blockchain and I soon realized that there are many open tax questions around this technology and the new decentralized business models it can support. That’s why I started to build the blockchain tax practice of PwC Switzerland, together with my colleagues from other service lines, such a regulatory, corporate finance and consulting. Together we are now a group of about twenty dedicated specialists. We come from different backgrounds, but are all excited about blockchain and helping the young industry to establish. We are helping banks to set up crypto trading desks, start-up companies to conduct an ICO or financial service firms to build up crypto exchanges in Switzerland.

During my one year assignment with PwC US I have been working about 50% on client engagements and 50% on practice and business development efforts. I have been managing tax projects for large US asset managers and international sovereign wealth funds with regard to their US and international investment structure.

Since joining the Financial Services Tax team in 2012, I specialise in the asset management industry. My daily work covers tax consulting for most activities of Swiss based asset managers and institutional investors such as pension funds including investment structuring, corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT and stamp duties.
