Mark was Chief Content Officer for Luminary Media, a subscription-based audio platform operating globally. As a member of the executive team, Mark set strategy across all aspects of the business. He worked closely with top talent and studios to create Luminary Original podcasts: Dave Chappelle, Talib Kweli, yasiin bey, Trevor Noah, Lena Dunham, Karamo, Roxane Gay, Alex Gibney, Soledad O'Brien, Guy Raz, Leon Neyfakh, Celeste Barber and many others. Mark led a content team responsible for podcast development and production, programming strategy, acquisition, business affairs and technical operations. Previously, Mark was Vice President, Head of Business Development for HuffPost and the Head of Business Development and Commercialization for News & Information at Oath (now Yahoo!). In this capacity, Mark led global dealmaking, corporate development and the monetization of Oath’s news and information content businesses, including HuffPost, Yahoo News and the Yahoo and AOL portals. Mark and his team focused on driving revenue through content, advertising and new business models across the media portfolio and also identifying acquisition opportunities for the portfolio. At Spotify, Mark executed key projects with the Global Head of Corporate Development, and led an international legal team as Legal Counsel -- Global Head of Product, Tech, and Policy.Mark spent the early part of his career specializing in strategic digital transactions, mergers and antitrust and competition at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, and clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He received a JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and a BS, magna cum laude, from The Wharton School.
