I have been carrying out a consultancy project for the Hualong Machinery, part of USCO group, European Multinational based in Italy. Reporting directly to Europe HQ and to the China General Manager.My target had among its objectives the strategic restructuring of the Purchasing Department, (the identification and integration of new partners, the business of cost reduction, etc.) and at the same time the review of internal production processes (from the foundry, machining, assembly, to the finished product).

- Responsible for product marketing platforms for the development of new engine models.The activity extends from market analysis (identification of areas / business target / benchmark competition), the identification of strategic customers, product requirements, up to the supervision and control of the projects.Direct interface with HQ in the U.S. for the endorsement of the investment, compliance with the defined project timelines , evaluation and control of development costs, achieving of the target product cost , formulation of positioning policy and price of new products . - Responsible for the localization of production in India, at our plant in Aurangabad , ( current transfer products : liquid-cooled diesel engine family ) .- Technical platforms member (purchases / quality / R & D) with targets of cost reduction , compliance with the certification EPA for the U.S. , margin trend , which I have direct responsibility. - Strategic segment review: monthly reporting to the Board in Italy and the U.S..

BASIC FUNCTION1. Extra-European (global sourcing) suppliers relationships management for all quality issues concerning products and productive processes with special focus on Quality improvement and approval of new suppliers trough process validation 2. Follow materials homologation supplied from abroad, give advices about any material and treatment to suppliers and collegue within Lombardini and Lipl; give advice to technical department, and to production department; cooperate with logistics and purchasing department; SPECIFIC RESPONSABILITIESa) Scheduling and execution of vendor visits during validation of new suppliers and to verify the effectiveness of the preventive and corrective actions agreedb) Analysis of technical documentation and critical features of new products to support the supplier during industrialization processc) Management of all the activities related to new product sample batches for production approval purposed) Interface with the production department and the suppliers in management of all non conformities in supplied components; management of fresh batches after the implementation of a corrective actione) Monitor supplier quality trend through the analysis of indexes and suppliers reliability statistics1.
