I currently hold the position of Scientific Reviewer at Gianni Benzi Foundation. In addition to drafting, reviewing and evaluating scientific documents for regulatory purposes, I am also involved in research projects on paediatric and rare diseases. I am passionate about my role, as it allows me to contribute to both the evaluation and production of scientific knowledge in the regulatory and clinical research fields.

My research focused on inter-individual genetic variability effects on susceptible molecular pathways involved in mental illness in humans and in cellular models, with particular interest to transcriptional regulation pathways.

As a Ph.D student, I have been working on the topic of cellular trafficking and activity of renal transporters and receptors relevant to hypertension. I have also contributed to the characterization of novel mutations in the lamin A/C gene (LMNA) associated with dilated cardiomyopathy.
