Silvia Traverso, born in Genoa, Italy, September 15, 1962.Law Degree from the University of Genoa in 1984/85, with final mark of 110/110 and honors.Winner of the PRINCIVALLE award by the Genoa Bar following Best admission examination at the Bar exam, taken at Genoa Court of Appeal in 1989.Member of the Genoa Bar Association from October 26, 1989, first practised the profession cooperating with the Law Firm Ferrarini (Prof. Sergio Ferrarini was a University of Genoa Professor of Shipping Law while Prof. Guido Ferrarini was a University Professor of Banking Law hence ordinary professor of Banking Law and Financial Intermediation), and afterwards with the Law Firm Ferraro in Genoa.Member of the Leghorn Bar Association from March 19 1998, where she now practises the profession as Partner of the Law Firm BATINI TRAVERSO & Associati.Fluent, written and spoken, English.From 1986 to 1994, she was lecturer in banking law at the University of Genoa, faculty of Law, with Prof. Guido Ferrarini and during that period she has held several advanced seminars related to credit instruments and to stock exchange securities.Author of articles in business law, she has followed several banks and financial intermediaries litigations in relation to investors disputes for financial transactions.She was appointed by Leghorn Court to assist Bankruptcy receivers in civil actions, by the Leghorn Court as a an ex parte arbitrator and by the Leghorn Chamber of Commerce as a sole arbitrator in various procedures.Currently, due to the development and deepening of the activities of the Law Firm in the insurance field of the professional indemnity, she handles a relevant number of civil cases on behalf of many syndicates at Lloyd's of London as well as other international insurers, dealing with counseling and litigation connected to any kind of professional liability, from medical malpractice to the D&O policies and bank liability.
