Currently Glasgow Kelvin College, I worked for JWC Transitions to Learning and Work project teaching Spanish to group of vulnerable young people from the East End of Glasgow. The aim was to rebuild their self-esteem by helping them develop a range of personal and practical skills to prepare them for the workplace and for life outside the care system. It was a challenging job to design a course to engage and inspire these group of 14-16 years old but very rewarding indeed.

I worked as a researcher for the MRC Social & Public Health Sciences Unit of Glasgow University for Healthy Respect, a national sexual health demonstration project aiming to improve the sexual health and well being of young people in Lothian in the long-term. It was a very interesting study which involved liasing with schools and children, collecting data and arrange it for interpretation.
