Starting as a Development Review Planner, Silvia worked closely with architects, engineers, builders and property owners, leveraging her dual background in planning and architecture to help optimize site and building designs in consideration of local context and sustainability. Subsequently, as the County’s Parks and Recreation Planner, Silvia oversaw the County's land acquisition program for recreational and environmental preservation purposes. This role included the preparation of grant applications and administration of grant management plans, and coordination of the planning, design and construction processes for new County park facilities.
