The Love Alliance partnership (2021 - 2025) brings together organisations led by communities most affected by HIV and AIDS. From across Africa thought leaders, grant-makers and the global network of people living with HIV (GNP+) have joined forces. Aidsfonds is the Dutch administrative lead.The Love Alliance will work to improve the (sexual) health and rights of sex workers, people who use drugs, LGBTIQ+ people and people living with HIV in Africa. Together they will work towards a reduction in HIV incidence by influencing policies, organising communities and raising awareness on rights and health in ten countries in Africa. The Love Alliance will provide financial support (grants) and non-financial support (capacity strengthening and movement building). Communities are involved in all parts of the grantmaking. As a Grant Officer I work together with them to ensure an effective and efficient grantmaking process.

A multidisciplined project team implements new strategies to improve the flow of follow-up care of the elderly patients after an ending treatment in the hospital. Instead of ‘dumping’ our elderly in nursery homes to never return home again, the aim of the intervention is to provide short- term after care with the ultimate goal a returning home. Secondarily the intervention strives for a higher quality of transfer care and a process in which the patient is highly involved.

The vision of the MSHC is to be a leader in the management and prevention of Sexually Transmitted Infections and its mission is to maximize sexual health trough innovation and excellence in public health, education, clinical care and research. Involvement in several studies concerning sexual and reproductive health required comprehensive understanding of dealing with confidential participant information, scientific results and databases.

After the start of a new medical administration system for clinicians (Diagnosis-Treatment-Combination) a team concerning the supervision of the administrative mistakes being made, was founded. Each member of the team supported clinical units. Involvement in medical administration required comprehensive understanding of dealing with confidential patient information and a high level of communicative skills were required to support and understand medical staff.
