Each project at Aesop is designed individually from concept through to execution providing a range of challenges and opportunities in cost, materials and timelines. Designing stores for Aesop includes managing both design and commercial expectations, taking a collaborative approach to design through engaging in conversations.My experience at Aesop covers a broad range of locations, environments and specifications. Having worked in projects across Europe with key stores in London, Barcelona, Lyon and Madrid. Key responsibilities included:• Feasibility studies for new stores and locations.• Creation of concept designs, materials sampling and research.• Creation of budgets, timelines, and value engineering strategy.• Construction site visits and measured surveys.• Discussions and presentations to the client/landlord teams.• Liaising with contractors, MEP, lighting and structural consultants, and external architects.• 3D visuals (Rhino and V-Ray). • Creation of AutoCAD tender drawings and full construction drawing packages.• Custom furniture and lighting design.• Vintage item procurement.• Invoicing and budget tracking.• Retail operations and visual merchandising assistance.
