Sílvia Machado is a business professional with experience in consulting, business and marketing management. She is also a professor and entrepreneur. Sílvia is currently the CEO of Instituto do Animal – the school she created in 2014, to offer in Portugal unique specialized services and training on animal behaviour and welfare. Additionally, she is involved in the international launch of Paperview Systems.Sílvia has been a consultant to more than a hundred of business firms and she has taught in executive development programs in Portugal and in Mozambique. She also has bold experience as senior executive in several national and multinational companies, including Capgemini Ernst & Young, Euro RSCG - Havas Worldwide, Nova Publicidade / Brandia, Grupo IPG, Grupo SOICO Moçambique and APL – Administração do Porto de Lisboa.She spent 18 years leading marketing and advertising projects, some of which won international awards like: Cannes Lions Advertising Festival, Eurobest, Epica, New York Festivals, Golden Award of Montreux, Clube de Criação de São Paulo, Grande Troféu CTT Direct Mail e Globos RTC.Sílvia holds a five-year Diploma in Business Administration, earned in Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics, the top business school in Portugal and ranked among the Top 25 in the Financial Times Ranking for European Business Schools. She runs her DBA - Doctor of Business Administration program in ISCTE Business School – IUL.
