An accomplished and methodical research scientist with a background in pharmacy, specialising in pharmacology, innate immunology and neuroscience, with a focus on autoimmunity, pain mechanisms and extracellular vesicle biology. Demonstrates technical expertise in autonomously conceptualising and executing a variety of in vivo and functional in vitro experiments. Possesses advanced proficiency in multiparameter flow cytometry, in vivo work, and mammalian cell culture and ex vivo cultures as well as clinical sample handling. Efficiently handles workload management and prioritisation, including the supervision of junior staff and the oversight of a core facility. Notably, I have established a commendable track record of impactful publications and have successfully fostered collaborative relationships with peers and experts in the field, enhancing the overall depth and breadth of research endeavours.my background and previous employment as a pharmacist enable me to become dedicated to teamwork and to develop trasferable skills with areas of expertise in business and administration.I am a personable, reliable and innovative research scientist very interested in developing high-quality scientific projects and translational research..

Phd FellowQueen Mary University Of London Oct 2016 - Jan 2020William Harvey Research Institute, Charter House Square LondonMy project focused on extracellular vesicles in the context of vascular inflammation with particular attention to monocyte and platelet cross-talk. During my studies I have evaluated the heterogeneity of microvesicles released from whole blood or isolated monocytes and found a large proportion of those shows markers from both platelet and monocyte origins. I personally thing that this study was timely and exciting. Deciphering the pharmacology of cell-derived vesicles can indeed uncover how they contribute to physio-pathological events and also further our understanding of their use as biomarkers of diagnostic and/or prognostic value. I was also part of the EVOluTION ITN as a Marie Curie Early Stage Research Fellow a doctorate programme to deliver innovative training on preclinical and clinical science, commercial and business aspects, intellectual properties and more, covering the multiple aspects of drug discovery and development process in collaboration with leading companies and institutions such as UCB, LifeArc and IQVIA . -
Visiting Phd StudentUniversity College Dublin May 2018 - Aug 2018County Dublin, IrelandDuring my secondment in Dublin I investigated the function of monocyte microvesicles subtypes in a human ex-vivo model of atherosclerotic plaque. I performed pharmacoproteomic of the releasome of this plaques in response to the microvesicles. -
