Primed the business through the strength of product, sales and partnerships for rapid growth in 2020 at the commencement of the Pandemic. Led the business through a Series A capital raise in 2020. Held full accountability for financial and business management, sales, commercial operations, product and people.With key milestones being: securing our first major contract in 2019 before being in a position to rapidly scale during the Covid Pandemic, a major transformation in itself, requiring rapid hiring and onboarding of staff to facilitate a 5000% increase in demand. Reinforced by an intentional, remote-first company culture and mature processes, we have continued to grow even after lockdowns ended and while other vendors faced decline. Able to scale quickly because of the systems we put in place at the outset, including a complete self-serve interface instead of labour-intensive manual systems, the business has gone from strength to strength, winning multiple industry awards and achieving expansion into new markets, including the US.

I drove a virtual government services kiosk model and remote special education application, which led directly to the creation of Coviu. I led the product development and commercialisation and spin out efforts.Coviu was part of AcceleratiON 2016 - the CSIRO internal accelerator.

Joined NICTA, before it merged with CSIRO and rebranded as Data61. Notably during this time, I helped to build out pioneering HTML5 & WebRTC standards with the W3C. I created one of the first implementations of a working video conferencing call in a web browser, working within W3C and with NICTA colleagues to push the boundaries of technology and develop technology that was cross-device compatible. PARADISEC Digital Sources Archive:Supported the PARADISEC project as a designer, product manager and software engineer in the development of an ethnographic media asset management system. The system’s purpose is to manage archives by enabling the uploading of artefacts, plus annotation and translation of media assets, through a web application. I co-developed a system that enabled compilation and maintenance of the archive for the foreseeable future, delivering an open-source platform that supports research and cataloguing of Pacific Island cultural artefacts.

This allows providing metrics on video usage and audience. Source videos from social video sites and deliver them in an easily siftable manner.
