As a PhD Earth-Scientist I am deeply curious about how the natural world works. My expertise results from eleven years of extensive multidisciplinary training and includes a thorough understanding of how earth systems work and interact with each other, small and big scale. Because the relationship between society and the environment is a two-way street, my focus is to help people to create a better and more sustainable society.Through my experience as a doctoral researcher I refined my skills in project management under tight deadlines. This included designing, executing, troubleshooting and (at one point) restructuring my own original research project. In addition, during this time I engaged in tutoring of undergraduate students, breaking down complex topics for a more effective learning. My skillset is diverse, combining multicultural competence, effective communication in 3 languages (Portuguese, English and German) and also includes:• Problem solving• Data processing and analysis• Ability to work in teams as well as independently• Detail oriented analytical thinking• Wide experience with programming languages (MATLAB, Python, R) and operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux)
