Silvia Simons is a multi award-winning composer, sound artist, improvisor, actor and director. She studied Composition and Theatre Arts at La Trobe University, Melbourne. Her work has been performed and broadcast in Australia, Europe and the US. Writing New Music scores, creating sound art and music for visual media, as well as improvisation and performing in cross-art-form ensembles with a leaning towards experimentalism, all form a vital part in her output. Ancient philosophies and discourses with others, which probe beyond conventional thinking, often provide a stimulus for her creative activities.
