I'm currently the Executive Producer and co host of El hilo, a weekly news podcast from Radio Ambulante Estudios. Before that I was an editor and producer at Radio Ambulante, an award-winning Spanish-language podcast distributed by NPR that tells Latin American stories. Before joining Radio Ambulante, I worked as the Latin America Regional Editor for Global Voices Online, an international community of writers who curate, verify and translate news from social media and independent media around the world. I have written for The New York Times en Español, The Washington Post Opinión, National Public Radio (NPR), Columbia Journalism Review, The New York Times Magazine, Public Radio International, World Policy Journal, and Council on Hemispheric Affairs. My reporting for Global Voices was featured on the BBC, The Economist, Al Jazeera, and Public Radio International.
