In 2017 I sold Free3D and CGStudio to TurboSquid, Inc. and setup a dev outsourcing company in Romania for developing software and offering operational support to TurboSquid.In the next few years I attracted extraordinary talent and built a 20+ team in Romania. We all grew within TurboSquid, I reported directly to the CEO which mentored me and I managed to grow into a senior leadership role at the confluence of Engineering, Product and Business.- Brought TurboSquid content to Free3D and grew the business multiple folds through strategies like internationalisation. Top 1-5 positions for anything + “3D” in Google.- Best Prices Project: automated price checking with competition based on image matching- Complete revamp of TurboSquid Publishing through a SPA application- Content Syndication Project: to a Chinese vendor. 2D image upscaling and automated syndication to stock image platforms like ShutterStock.- General Manager for PixelSquid: store for 2D spinnable images from 3D. Focused on 3DSkills: M&A, managing a larger team, software engineering management, HR/legal.

In 2014 with funds from Free3D revenue I acquired cgpn.com, a 3d models marketplace launched in 2002. Formed a team for the new venture and in 2015 we launched CGStudio.Strategy was simple: existing content + generate leads for CGStudio by placing content aware ads on Free3D.And it worked! We managed to convert free users to paying customers. Turning the distressed asset we acquired into a profitable business in 6 months.First year CGStudio rose to $200k in revenue, $90k EBITA.Additional Skills acquired: ins and outs of running a two-sided marketplace.

In 2011, while in high school, I founded Free3D (TheFree3DModels back then). I self thought myself web development. Made a big bet on SEO and placed content as the nr.1 goal of the platform. After this the website rose in popularity and in a few years became the most popular free 3D site.
