As a manager, when the company started up for the first time in Bali, I am demanded to extend my job descriptions to not only related to the financial reports of the company, but also to understand the day-to-day operations in the food market. Recording the financial transactions, Checking the company's credit status, Balancing money-in and money-out, tax reporting, etc are the basic job descriptions as a Financial and Accounting Manager. However, I also learn how to handle food market operations : daily opening - closing, handling customers' complain, engaging with customers, managing human resources, understanding the operating system being used, solving problems, etc. These award me with comprehensive knowledge and experiences on how to run the business.

As an analyst, Operations Planning Analyst's role is to analyze the production process in the company. I need to make sure that the production process runs well. One of the ways is by comparing actual performance and the target being set at the beginning. Moreover, reporting to the management is also one of my responsibilities. I need to present clear, valid, and structural report to management to inform them the current situation of the operations department.

Being a Service Associate in Finance Department of Shangri-La Hotel Surabaya, I was responsible for the account payable of the hotel. Hence, my basic responsibilities is to prepare payments and to ensure that all of those payments are satisfied within the required time and procedures.

Generally, my job description is to ensure that the products and services ordered come in a timely manner and according to the specifications requested. In achieving the goal, the processes include looking for details of products' specifications, looking for price quotations, following up suppliers, assisting users in the purchasing processes, facilitating tender processes, generating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring the performance quality of the suppliers, negotiating the terms and conditions of purchases (price, delivery time, payment term, etc), following up suppliers, and so on. The products and services ordered are various, starting from engineering products, food and beverages products, operating products, until capital products.

During my internship at Carrefour Indonesia, my job description includes analyzing the company's current condition, starting from the marketing activities, business process, quality control, consumer behavior, consumer database, employees' capabilities, etc. During 2 months of internship, I distributed 1000++ questionnaires to Carrefour customers as one of the ways to analyze the company's current performances. At the end of the internship period, I propose some practical solutions to be adopted by the company to further develop the business.
