Third-year computer science student, future game developer. My passion for engine architecture has brought me to the School of Computer Science at Singapore Institute of Technology, where I am working on my IMGD in Game Development. Last semester I completed the Software Engineering Project which covers engine architecture, graphics design as well as level design.The most valuable lesson I have learned from Software Engineering has been the importance of developing the initial design of the engine architecture. Even though I knew I wanted to be a graphic programmer, I have enjoyed getting back to basics with graphical API such as OpenGL rendering. My class in Professional and Career Development has provided me with great insights for a future career in game development.This year I was introduced to Vulkan, Unity and level design concepts. I continue to build skills in UI/UX as well as game engine software development. Next year, I hope to complete a game design internship that will provide real-life experience and important technological skills.
