During the graduate scheme i worked within various different departments within claims including Motor, Casualty (Employers Liability and Public Liability) and the Major Loss Team. Since joining i have implemented cost saving and operational efficiency initiatives which have been very successful. Whilst on the graduate scheme i was part of the Graduate committee; this involved representing the graduates, identifying how the schemes could be improved and what is going well. Organising and facilitating networking events for the current and incoming graduates was a large part of my role. Allianz' Technical Leaders in Claims programme is a competitive internal programme which i was part of from October 2017- October 2018; the programme gave me the opportunity to work alongside Technical Claims Managers and develop technical strategies to improve the customer experience and reduce claims spend/the lifecycle of claims.

Toga Group is a developer of residential apartments and a leading hotel operator across Australia, New Zealand and Europe. I worked in the Head office as part of the finance team with many varying responsibilities and tasks. The accounting system used was Cheops. My role included but was not limited to:• Assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable and assisting the accountants with reporting. • Month end reconciliations- liaising with all departments to ensure we had all the information to close the accounts for the month ending X. • Payroll- data entry of the timesheets and resolving any arising problems, by contacting the project managers, to ensure wages were paid on time• As Toga was updating its systems, I was able to attend managerial meetings where discussions were held over which system would best suit Toga and why. • Helping prepare the monthly financial report, with regards to Toga’s monthly financial performance, for the board of directors. I was responsible for ensuring that each pack was satisfactorily prepared, including up to date information and all additional caveats, before the final checks were conducted by the financial controller and Chief Financial Officer.
