As VP of Technology and Analysis I support the production of geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and imagery analysis from a technology focus on tools and data management, as well as through analytical leadership / project management.

As a freelance member of the AllSource Geospatial Analysis and Intelligence Network (GAIN), I perform satellite imagery analysis and compile geospatial intelligence products. I also occasionally act in a project management support role overseeing and coordinating analysis produced by other network analysts.

As an advisor and subject matter expert, I provide support to the EMDYN team in the domains of analysis, methodology and overall product development.

As Head of Analysis, I am responsible for the development and management of geospatial, activity-based intelligence products in support of EMDYN customers and in support of the EMDYN platform development and data offerings.

As Co-Founder and Chief Military Analyst of Force Analysis, In addition to day-to-day management of the activities of our analytical team, my focus is on the development of internal intelligence production processes, as well as planning and implementation of technology solutions and the development of our client-facing online platform.

As a Global Analyst, my focus at Stratfor is on global strategic analysis. In this role, I produce analytical materials for both client products and web-publishing, with a focus on international security and armed conflicts as well as regional geopolitical focus on Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Eurasia.

As External Contributor I provided on-demand analytical support to the Stratfor analyst pool, as well as regular written analysis for publication on the Stratfor website.

As Senior Analyst, my focus at Stratfor is on global strategic analysis. In this role, I produce analytical materials for both client products and publishing. In addition to this, I also manage the acquisition and production of commercial satellite imagery based products.

As Director at Stratfor, I've focused on several different aspects of the intelligence production process at Stratfor ranging from direct leadership over analytical projects to planning and implementing new processes and solutions to drive efficiency and quality.Intelligence Architecture:In this role, I supported the activities to establish sound data warehousing practices, as well as the identification and adoption of technological tools to aid in the intelligence production process at Stratfor.Current Intelligence:I spearheaded the implementation of a Current Intelligence Team at Stratfor, focused on collection and dissemination of breaking events and evolving dynamics. As an entity parallel to other collection and publishing activities, the CIT operated in support of strategic analysis at Stratfor, as well as its web-publishing goals.Collections Management:As a coordinator between the managers of separate collection departments dealing with human sources, open source collection and data research, I worked on establishing procedures for collection planning, coordination of resources, and interaction between analytical and collections departments. I also spearheaded an effort to introduce the use of commercial satellite imagery to fill collections gaps and to support analytical assessments.Analytical Support:I supported the VP for Global Analysis in day to day management of the analytical team, with a specific emphasis on establishing and enforcing guidelines on analytic tradecraft. In this role, I also coordinated custom client projects, as well as publishing oriented endeavors.

As a military analyst at Stratfor, I tracked and analyzed military developments on both a tactical and strategic level across regions globally. As part of this, I have worked on projects relating to global arms procurement, development of the Russian military, as well as building tactical insight in specific conflicts such as the war in Eastern Ukraine, Israeli operations in Gaza, coalition operations against the Islamic state and Libya's civil war. I also had a separate regional focus on Africa, where I analyzed militant movements and conflicts in Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as identifying critical geopolitical dynamics throughout the continent. I have worked on projects that include such topics as the conflict in Somalia, piracy, French military involvement in Africa and infrastructure development, as well as general political stability throughout Africa.

As part of this consulting contract I was responsible for regularly updating background files on security, political evolutions, crime, piracy, natural resource development and other critical topics concerning Somalia, including Puntland and Somaliland.

As Director of Analysis I was responsible for the production of analysis concerning armed conflicts and geopolitical trends, while also managing and editing contributions by other analysts.Apart from the actual publications this function has also required me to set up communications and cooperation with government officials, academics and others in countries that are subject to our attention.

As an intern I contributed papers, on political events and evolutions concerning the African continent, to the Africa Watch department of CAI. I was also selected to support the publication of the Africa Conflict Monthly Monitor, a subscription service focused on conflict intelligence.
