Post Graduate Assistant
The role of the Post Graduate Assistant is to assist undergraduates and post graduate students in the allocated faculty with managing their studies. This is done by holding weekly tutorials, consultations, preparations, workshops. The PGA is also required from time to time to attend classes with the lecture for the module/s allocated to. The PGA is required to designs and implement exercises and activities to facilitate student's academic improvement, prepare weekly lesson plans for tutoring sessions according to students' needs and goals, review class material with students by discussing the text, working solutions to problems, or reviewing assignments, and provide feedback to students using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, or build confidence in students. Additionally, they are required to attend and participate in an Honours workshop each month.
