The role of the Post Graduate Assistant is to assist undergraduates and post graduate students in the allocated faculty with managing their studies. This is done by holding weekly tutorials, consultations, preparations, workshops. The PGA is also required from time to time to attend classes with the lecture for the module/s allocated to. By doing this I eliminated all the confusion that students and parents, especially for first year entrants, have. Lastly, I assisted students in handling their academic matters. These would include having mentoring sessions, or one-on-one meetings on how they can better manage their studies. With the above activities I assisted the students in better understanding the contents of their modules, and as result improved their marks for assessments. This then improved the academic performance, attitude towards learning, and self-esteem of students. For the organisation this also increased their rating in the concerned modules.
