With over 14 years of experience in the field, he leads a team of talented researchers and engineers who harness the power of artificial intelligence and biological knowledge to design optimized microbial strains for the cost-effective production of valuable pure ingredients through fermentation.Simão Soares holds a MSc in Bioinformatics from the University of Minho, where he also collaborated in the fields of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, publishing work in top-ranked computational biology journals. He was a visiting researcher at the Technical University of Denmark, working on the integration of omics data with genome-scale models.
