About Simbarashe Peresuh, Md
I am an Orthopedic Research Fellow dedicated to advancing the field of Orthopedic Surgery through innovative research and clinical practice. My background in Design and Technology, which was a rigorous practical experience in developing creative solutions to existing and relevant problems, taught me to think with my hands. My journey took an exciting turn as a Visiting Physician Observer at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where I immersed myself in the world of Orthopedic Adult Reconstructive Surgery. Here, my foundational medical knowledge was enriched by observing complex robotic-assisted surgeries and contributing to the postoperative care continuum, ensuring patients' optimal outcomes. This cultivated a strong interest in Spine, Upper Extremity, Biomechanics and Adult Reconstruction. My core competencies in project management and collaborative problem-solving were honed through direct engagement with interdisciplinary teams. Empowered by a blend of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, I can apply my analytical acumen to drive impactful clinical research advancements in the field of Orthopedic Surgery.Currently, I am working at University Orthopedics, Inc. with Dr. Michel Arcand focusing on TRT’s role in tendon injuries. Our work aims to shape how we surgically and medically manage the pharmacological regimens of patients in this category.Outside of “what pays the bills“ I enjoy mentoring medical students, strength training, curating Amapiano playlists, art, fishing, road trips and watching rugby! I am always open to connecting with fellow professionals to discuss research, collaborate on projects, or share knowledge about the latest advancements in orthopedics.Feel free to reach out if you’d like to connect or learn more about my work!
