Solomon Maramba is a versatile professional with a passion for building networks that empower. He has made significant contributions to various organizations and industries in the fields of training, media, and community development.Maramba served as the Director of Training and Technical Services and Acting CEO at Global Academy Zimbabwe for a year. In this role, he worked with industry professionals to develop and implement the curriculum, manage the overall operations of the college, and ensure compliance with board policies.Maramba has a background in electromechanical engineering from the University of Cape Town where he played a significant role in the creative sector. He was part of the team that conceptualized and organized the first UCT Arts Festival, organized hip-hop and urban culture events in Cape Town and immersed himself in the music industry in Zimbabwe, recording music from 2000.Maramba co-founded Enchant Creative, a multimedia production house specializing in animation and motion graphics for the advertising and marketing industry. He also coordinated the establishment of the Joint African Animation Group, where he served as chairman, directing two editions of the Zimbabwe Festival of African Inspired Animation (ZIMFAIA), the first sub-Saharan African animation festival. Maramba also demonstrated his versatility in other areas. He managed a farm that focused on livestock and horticulture for ten years, successfully overseeing the production of chickens, goats, sheep, cattle, and horticultural crops and took on the responsibility of running operations for the setup of a small-scale mine, collaborating with professionals in the fieldMaramba's commitment to community support is evident through his involvement with the Rotaract club and various community initiatives. For nine years, he served on the board of the Zimbabwe International Film and Festival Trust, assuming the role of Executive Director from 2021 to 2023. Under his leadership, the trust executed strategies to improve financial stability of the organisation and organised a highly successful film festival in September 2022. The event featured focus groups, panel discussions, and screenings. Notable government officials and representatives from embassies, international organizations, and major Zimbabwean corporations attended the festival.With his vast experience in training, media, entrepreneurship, and community development, Solomon continues to make a positive impact in various fields, constantly striving to empower individuals and foster growth in his community.
