Initially I collaborated with five Dell marketing executives on the development of a custom application for rapidly calculating and reporting marketing communication and campaign return on investment (ROI) metrics.Highlights from this project include~ Streamlined processes and accelerated run time from 13 hours to 20 minutes, providing critical decision-support data for determining effectiveness of marketing efforts in record time. ~ Calculated marketing communication ROI for each customer by combining Dell’s data warehouse with advertising and telephone system data.~ Enabled ability to aggregate and disaggregate customer ROI data according to lines of business.Following successful completion of that initial project with Dell, I was referred to their ad agencyto envision and manage the development of a multi-user advertising planning system that interfaced and shared ad agency statistics with the Dell data warehouse.
