As a Food & Beverage Coordinator, I am the contact person for the Bride & Groom for their wedding reception. I complete their detailing meetings, set up their event tastings, and coordinate any outside requests they may have. On the day of the event I execute and oversee their event, from start to finish and follow up post event.

As an aspiring event planner I work alongside the event coordinator at the Glenerin Inn and Spa. Two times a week for five hours I will assist with creating weekly overviews, creating event BEO's for weddings and social events, as well as floor plans. I attend detailing meetings and will sometimes provide input regarding room setup and location.

As a banquet server I serve functions ranging from 25 up to 200 people. Events range from social events such as birthdays where the event is more stationed food all the way to weddings where it is a sit down dinner. I serve appetizers, manage the bar, and provide dinner service to the guests. I will set up for the event that day and tear down and reset the function rooms for events the next day. I manage the bar for weddings and each wedding I will set up and tear down the bar and ensure it is fully restocked throughout the night.

At the Fairmont Banff Springs I was a participant in their SWEP program and my position was a On Course Server on the Golf Course. My positions rotated on a daily basis between working upstairs in the 136-seated dining room and downstairs working either the beverage carts or snackbar. My main position was upstairs in the dining room working the breakfast shifts. These shifts were usually early mornings to early afternoon and I would serving guests for breakfast and lunch. Duties for the breakfast shift included polishing all tables, glassware, and cutlery, folding rollups for the upcoming day, checked all menus to make sure they were clean and presentable and I replenished any sauces that were needed for the lunch shift. On certain days the clubhouse would be bought out for breakfast by golf groups and on these day I would set up the buffet, work and then reset for their lunch buffet. While working on the beverage cart I would drive along the course and ensure that the golfers needs were met. I asked if they would like anything to drink or eat and if there was something they wanted that I didn't have, I would go back to the snackbar, get it and find them on the course and give it to them. My opening duties for the beverage cart included putting breakfast and when the time came lunch items on the carts, restocking snack, and ensuring all alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages were restocked in the morning and each time I came back from a round.

As a timekeeper for the Mississauga Girls Hockey League my responsibilities included managing the clock by tracking scores, recording penalties and ensuring the game time was running. Alongside managing the clock I also filled out the game sheet throughout the games with recording penalties, goals and assists. I also communicated with the referees to ensure a well managed games for the girls, and communication with the coaches after each game to ensure they received the game sheet and answered any questions.

Toronto, Ontario

My position was a server at the kiosk held in Ted Rogers School of Management. My main duties included serving guests and handling cash. Other daily duties were counting the money at the beginning and end of day, opening and closing the kiosk, cleaning equipment and putting it away. Not as often but sometimes my shifts included working an event that was being hosted in the building. While working these events I would be serving the guests, replenishing the buffet, and completing requests guests may have. Afterwords I would clean up, tear down and reset the room to normal.
