Professional experience from most to least: Outpatient orthopaedics & sports medicine, trauma & post-op rehab, Medical complexity, inpatient rehab, acute care, ICU, LTAC, burn unit.My goals are providing functional-based optimal rehab for the patient as well as helping and educating them towards a more proactive, healthier lifestyle to promote wellness in the future. While in school for my PT education, I was a personal trainer for 6 years, and helped many people improve their lives through incorporation of fitness and health education - no matter what their starting level was. I ran some group programs as well, a main one being a 6 week "Learn to Run 5k", where the participants ultimately did the Detroit Free Press Marathon 5-Person Relay. It was a great experience that converted some sedentary people into lifelong runners (even now- more than a decade later), and built lasting friendships as a bonus.Specialties: Evaluation, assessment, and treatment of multiple physical impairments responsible for functional impairments that cause a decreased quality of life. Teaching physical therapy students. Presenting various educational inservices to rehab departments.
