Jing En graduated from the University of Cambridge (Wolfson College) with a BA (now MA) in Law with Double First Class Honours and went on to obtain the BCL with Distinction from the University of Oxford (Christ Church). He was awarded a string of various scholarships and prizes for academic excellence from Cambridge, Oxford and HKU, including the Oxford Law Faculty Prize for International Commercial Arbitration.Since joining Chambers, Jing En has developed a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work. He has been instructed in cases concerning fraud, company and insolvency law, probate and trusts, commercial law, competition law and family law and has appeared before the District Court, Court of First Instance and the Court of Appeal as sole advocate in his own right or as a led junior whether at trial or in interlocutory applications, including urgent ex parte relief.Jing En also has experience handling commercial arbitrations whether as Counsel or Tribunal Secretary under HKIAC, SIAC and ICC rules, as well as the enforcement of arbitral awards in Hong Kong.Jing En was born and raised in Singapore. Prior to joining the Hong Kong Bar, he served as a Lieutenant in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, where he graduated top of his class in Officer Cadet School as the Air Force Sword of Honour.
