Current Position:Biomedical engineering postdoctoral fellow at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Background Interest & Experience:My main interests can be categorized into 5 areas: (1) biomedical translational research, (2) data science, (3) higher administration, (4) inclusion, equity & diversity, and (5) STEM student development. Experienced in the full life cycle of projects from ideation, resource procurement and management, protocol development and optimization, data collection and analysis, and the dissemination of results. I enjoy working independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams on short- and long-term projects in a fast-paced environment. I have 14 years of experience in the areas of (1) research, (2) laboratory and personnel management (3) student development and (4) teaching & curriculum development. In research settings I have trained 23 undergraduate research students across multiple STEM disciplines and served as a peer & senior mentor to 30+ biomedical sciences trainees.
