Detail-oriented and versatile computational fluid dynamicist with over 15 years of experience in CFD software development for engineering (aerospace) and geophysical applications (weather and climate). Excellent understanding of LES and RANS for attached and separated flows. In simple words, I use very large computers for aerodynamics calculations, modeling of atmospheric turbulence, hurricanes, and tsunamis. Strong supporter of a clean world.

Associate ProfessorNew Jersey Institute Of Technology Jul 2024 - PresentNew York City Metropolitan AreaI am a tenured associate professor of fluid dynamics, scientific computing, and atmospheric sciences. My research uses computational techniques for fluid flows to study clouds, hurricanes, and tsunamis. I am interested in the design of efficient numerical methods for low Mach number compressible flows and the design of dynamic and minimal- dissipation sub-grid scale models for Large Eddy Simulation (LES) of very-high Reynolds number flows. My research has been funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the European Union, the New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA), and a handful of private companies. -
