The project was to assure correct regulation of the power converter structures in such a way that the capacitor bank is correctly charged and simultaneously assure constant power absorption from the AC grid with low current harmonic distortion, unitary power factor therefore respecting the existing international standards (International Electrotechnical Commission) in power quality issues including flicker.
