Since retiring from the Police I have worked with two separate police forces on complex and highly sensitive investigations. Prior to retirement I worked as a police officer for 26 years spending 16 years as a Detective Constable. The last 9 years I worked in a Major Crime Dept as Officer in the case for complex cases including Murder, kidnap and corporate manslaughter. Other roles I performed while in Major Crime included Disclosure officer, Exhibits Officer, outside enquiries and the role I was most passionate about Family liaison officer. I have 16 years Family liaison experience dealing with families in the most tragic circumstances. I have received recognition for my numerous roles both in force and Crown Court Commendations. I have also worked with multiple agencies during this time these being but not exclusively HSE, Social Services, The NHS, The Crown prosecution Service and Commercial Companies. I am trained in Disaster Victim Identification where I have been mortuary trained along with Disaster Victim Recovery and Disaster Victim Recovery Identification- Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear with a post graduate certificate from Dundee University for Disaster Victim Identification, Pip 2 interview trained, SC vetted until 2029. I have exceptional interpersonal skills honed over many years of dealing with the public and other agencies.Previously served in the Royal Air Force as a fireman.
