About Simon Abbott
Recently, I have been utilising my operational, and general managerial skills across an array of industries and positions, in a effort to broaden my skill set, and help me develop as a leader. I have worked within the powder processing industry for the past 17 years. Starting as a production operator, I have worked in many of the functions within the business until becoming general manager in July 2012. This has given me a wealth of experience and understanding of how to operate, and optimise how processing systems work. not only with British Rema equipment, but also other manufacturers. I have vast knowledge of all the equipment used to process chemicals to the micron scale. I also have an understand of blending, using different techniques.I have also completed a BA in business and management in that time. This has enhanced my leadership skills and helped me to develop an operational team that has helped double the companies turnover in the past 7 years.

Milling Technical Manager

Developed and introduced new production techniques to improve speed of production and reduce costs. Liaised with other departments to effectively deliver against business targets.
Aluminium Production Manager
Lead and coordinated the aluminium team to ensure the right structure was in place to reach the COTIF and cost of non-conformance target, while working Accounts and Human Resources to maintain labour percentage of sales in line with agreed budget. Conduct daily meeting with the team, making them aware of production plans, targets and desired outputs, while engaging in the senior management team meetings reporting any potential issues and concerns. Monitored, and evaluated the layout and production flows to ensure that delivery of the most effective manufacturing processes.
