I started working after my GCSE's, for a Land Rover dealership. Having served several years and completing my NVQ level 3 I was fed up with the industry and wanted a change and a challenge. I started running the corporate side of an outdoor store, giving a representation of the shop at national level shows as well as organizing local events such as tent shows. I also dealt with corporate sales for organisations such as local councils and VW Events teams. Whilst fulfilling this role I was lucky enough to be delivering corporate event instruction in the outdoors and as a facilitator. This led to the inception of Pinnacle Challenge Limited in 2004. We soon took over running all activities for events at Friday Island, what an awesome time of life. Over 60 events a year, running Dragon Boating, and other great activities on a privately owned 120acre lake complex. This work was very seasonal and we started building climbing walls through the winters. One day it dawned on me, "We are running all kinds of events, climbing courses, climbing parties etc, as well as building climbing walls, why don't we look for a building and build our own dedicated climbing centre?" So things happened and we moved into The Pinnacle Climbing Centre premises Late in 2009. Over the next few months we built the amazing centre on offer now. Now my focus is largely on the centre as I don't have much spare time for events. However we are bringing corporate events into The Pinnacle and have great spaces available, as well as a long history of running corporate events for organisations such as The BBC, Kellogg's, MOD, IKEA, Price Waterhouse Coopers, London Fire Service, and many, many more. I have been lucky enough to work alongside some amazing people over the years and thank each and every one of them for what they have taught me along the way. I also look forward to continuing to learn over the coming years.
