My Brother and Business Partner grew the company from 2 directors toemploying 80 people at our peak in mid 2015. The company was providingCivil, Mechanical, Electrical and Fabrication services to our customers.As a business owner my role was diverse and I had a great deal of exposureto a lot of different aspects of business. All of our customers were BluechipMining Companies or Oil and Gas Customers and as such have becomefamiliar in working with procedures and writing documents to meet specificrequirements. In addition to developing processes to ensure our ownbusiness’s requirements were met in order to reliably achieve our ownoutcomes. Other incumbent requirements of the role were ensuring thecompany and specific projects were profitable, invoiced on time and correctly,ensuring forecasts for cash flow were completed accurately, following upregularly with accounts receivable and checking accounts payable prior to approval.My role within the company was focused on the management and execution of the Electrical installations completed by the business from the initial bid and associated requirements of TQ's and RFQ's, takes off's etc right through to the execution of the project from planning through to commissioning.

During the first 6 months I was involved with the installation and commissioning of new drives and PLC systems for the CF06 port crane. I then applied for and received the position of maintenance supervisor. A diverse role consisting of multiple faucets of operations, maintenance, compliance, Contractor management, permit system compliance and Project management. The primary element of the role was for the execution of scheduled maintenance and reactive maintenance. I was also on call via phone for any issues the afternoon and night shift to during their shifts. I would also return to site when required to assist.The projects that I was responsible for included the management of planning, feasibility and design of several large upgrades to the wharf lease including the addition of a new Portcrane and the associated demolition of one other, 2 new additional hard stand areas, MSIC security upgrades.

Team of 5 instrumentation techs, responsible for the calibration, identification and installation of all devices. A lot of work went into the pre calibration, repackaging, inventory updating and storage of devices. Upon requirement I would venture out into the field and complete the installation of the TX/RX, vendor cabling to site requirements, termination of devices and the installation of any small bore tubing.

Worked on both project and shutdown maintenance crews on Nelson point and Finucane island.

Completed commercial installations from new schools to school extensions, churches, and multirise building developments throughout the Perth CBD.
