As one of the 4 initial QC professionals on the DAPI US project i relocated to Raleigh, North Caroline the 1st of June 2016 from Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate in this exciting green field project. I use my background in Novo Nordisk to coach my new US colleagues in the NN processes and procedures.My main tasks consist of leading various project groups within the DAPI US project, such as sample management and flow for the entire site, sample transport from US to DK, establishing in-process control laboratories in the production areas and implementing the use of electronic qualification system in the QC laboratory (Electronic Test Information Management System better known as HP Application Lifecyle Management).

I am currently working at Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research where I am investigating host pathogen interaction between protein SIC from Streptococcus Pyogenes and active components in the complement system.

My Ph.D. project focused on synthesising and characterising lipopeptides for incorporation into metalloproteinase sensitive drug delivery systems. I synthesised and purified several peptides and lipopeptides for enzyme activity studies on the surface of drug delivery systems. A thorough biophysical and biochemical characterisation of a new class of lipopeptides developed during the project was conducted. Implementation of these new lipopeptides into enzyme activated drug delivery systems, showed promising therapeutic effect towards cancer cells in vitro.
