• Development of a new incentivised commercial model / performance framework between Anglian Water and the @One Alliance Partners. Leading a programme of collaborative workshops designed to establish alternative performance incentives/measures in alignment with Anglian Waters strategic goals and outcomes. The Integrated Project Leader role has a dual purpose; to act in the best interests of the Anglian Water Business and to lead a number of @One delivery teams. Over the last five years I lead and delivered a portfolio of Growth and regional Maintenance projects of varying complexity through all phases of the Project Lifecycle. In addition to delivering projects outlined in the AMP6 Business Plan, my team was involved in delivering an emergency parcel of work and a number of developer / trade customer projects. Budget Responsibility £125m. Key responsibilities include; Deliver a portfolio of projects in line with the @One Alliance Key Performance Measures. Establish a robust Portfolio strategy, including a detailed five-year delivery plan. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies through all stages. Ensure compliance with the capital delivery process and commercial model (outperformance based). Develop a multi-disciplined team – blending people with the right attitude, skills and experience. Promote investment proposals to the Governance Board for approval and deliver exceptional customer service – building mutually beneficial relationships, internally and externally.

Responsible for the critical delivery of 25 Flow Compliance Projects in accordance with the regulatory obligation date (31st March 2015). The programme of work was driven by changing Environment Agency discharge standards. Direct responsibility for leading a multi-skilled team of Project, Technical, Commercial, Construction and Supply Chain professionals. The programme of work was successfully delivered against some very difficult challenges in the final 12 months of AMP5 and switched from being in commercial pain to commercial gain.

Part of a core team responsible for closing out 24 Water-Recycling Non-infrastructure legacy schemes. Responsible for ensuring that all projects achieved full operational handover so that projects could be progressed through the later stages of the capital delivery process. Close collaboration with the client, internal teams and Operations enabled the team to rapidly progress through the stage gate process at pace. Leading by example and shared learning / awareness enabled other project teams in WRNI to apply lessons learnt and encouraged greater communication across various business units. Also responsible for delivering a portfolio of Inlet Screen Maintenance Projects through all phases of the Project Lifecycle.

Project Directed a technical services contract in support of Affinity Waters draft Water Resource Management Plan (dWRMP). Also managed a number of outputs in support of the Environment Agencies Water Resources South East initiative. The outputs of this project contributed towards finalising Affinity Waters AMP6 Business Plan, which secured enhanced status with OFWAT. Also Lead a team responsible for determining supply and demand vulnerability during the 2012 drought. Key aspects of this work included the development and implementation of a companywide mass balance model, running a number of drought scenarios to understand varying degrees of supply risk and presenting an investment proposal to the board. The outputs from this formed part of Affinity Waters Water Resource Management Plan, PR14 and WRSE initiative.

Worked with the WRNI PAM and Director of Waste-water Services to establish a dedicated team responsible and accountable for delivering a £100m+ programme of Water-Recycling Capital Maintenance projects of varying complexities/value across the Anglian Water Region. Also managed a programme of eleven critical Water-recycling Projects during this time. Directly responsible for a multiple-disciplined team of Project Managers, Technical Delivery Managers, disciplined Engineers, Planning and Commercial staff.

@One Alliance - Peterborough

Responsible for managing a number of Capital Investment Projects; including new build RGF works in Norfolk, Borehole and Water Quality blend projects in Suffolk and operational maintenance Projects in Lincolnshire & Suffolk. Key responsibilities included project management, scheduling, project controls, governance, supply chain management and operational delivery on site.

Re-located to the Anglian Water @One Alliance. Initially worked in the Solutions team developing early AMP4 Projects across several sub-programmes. Also played a pivotal role establishing/developing new operating systems, processes, procedures and building new relationships with Anglian Water and the other Alliance Partners. Key responsibilities included; preparation of design documentation, scope definition, estimating, executions plans and producing investment proposals for submission/approval.

This enabled experience in ‘end to end’ Project Delivery including solution development (Proposals), detail design (Process Engineering), Project Management (Project Engineer) and delivery on site (Mechanical supervision). This valuable knowledge and experience form a stable foundation for my career and helped strengthen my Project Management skills.

Dungeness B Power Station

Employed to set-up a site office at Dungeness ‘B’ Power Station and manage a team of eight Mechanical Piping Engineers. The contract with British Energy focused upon surveying and improving various critical and non-critical process systems. Key responsibilities included managing a site team, managing sub-contract packages, Project reporting/controls, Client liaison and working closely with our partner Taylor Woodrow Ltd.
