Responsible for the day to day running of the sales office and warehouse, managing the staff in these departments. I was responsible for all stock and label management for over 100 record labels, which involved liaising with them regarding new releases, preparation of our monthly release schedule and ensuring stock levels were maintained., I would produce monthly reports on the sales and stock holdingsI had to monitor and manage the warehouse & office staff and their processes to ensure an efficient and organised system was in place for all staff to be proficient in their roles.I researched and organised all the post and courier dispatch using web based systems and stand-alone consignment software. I also had the responsibility of purchasing any supplies or equipment needed and ensuring any building and equipment maintenance was undertaken where necessary. I was also responsible for the basic health and safety/ fire drill training for all staff.

I supervised and advised a multifaceted sales team, whilst primarily account managing over 40 international distributors of Chandos products. I supplied sales information to customers, responded to telephone and e-mail enquiries and processed orders from which I also produced various reports and figures for all areas of the company’s sales. I have oversaw the installation and upgrade of 2 computer software systems and I was also the first point of contact regarding any problems with the Exchequer software used by the company for accounting, order processing and stock handling. I also represented the company at an annual international trade fair, at which I met not only our distributors, but people involved in all areas of the music industry. For this trade fair I also planned and organised the British Independent Classical Labels stand on behalf of 5 record labels including our own. I was also a fire marshal and key holder for the company premises.
