Birmingham Pride Senior Event Management
CurrentBirmingham Pride is one of the UK's largest Pride events. The multi faceted role includes:Negotiating, booking and scheduling the artists for Main Stage, with stage and artist liaison management duties. A role initially undertaken during my Nightingale OD position from 2007 through to the present. Securing contemporary and heritage artists by developing relationships with leading UK & international booking agencies. Artists booked include Dua Lipa, Anne-Marie, Becky Hill.Organising the annual Pride Parade through Birmingham City Centre with 8000 participants including 50 vehicles and 250 group entries. A huge administration process that takes 9 months of planning, from managing the application procedure, liaising directly with all of the entries, delivering a health & safety programme for participants and working with city council officials and the stewarding/security team to ensure the event runs smoothly and safely each year.Procuring sponsorships and partnerships for the Festival, managing the delivery and execution of all sponsorship agreement benefits packages whilst building excellent working relationships with the organisations. I have secured sponsorships with Jaguar, Virgin Trains, E-On, Amazon, Beiersdorf & Lidl etc whilst also working closely with the principal sponsor HSBC and lead media partner Bauer.Other administration roles include: organising media accreditation, liaising with and operating a complimentary ticket scheme with local residents, community stall applications, preparing visuals and advertising for the festival screens, invoicing and finance relating to artists/sponsorships and parade entry and responding to all incoming email festival enquiries.
