The role of Application Consultant would be to visit customer sites to discuss their current operation. The initial meeting would either be to discuss changing their current WMS, or enhancing a certain parts of the system. This would involve maybe problem solving of a particular issue, or arriving at a solution to enhance the operation.Application Consultants are always very customer facing including creating presentations for senior management of the proposed solution.On-site customer system training whether on enhancements or a completely new system would be the role of the consultant.During my time at Infor I have been lead consultant on projects for implementations of the WMS in the UK and worldwide for customers including Nike SA and Courtaulds (Marks & Spencers).More recently I've also been involved in Pre-Sales presentations and the sales process creating quotations and services estimates.Information Gathering Processes•Training•Conduct of Business Review Summit in conjunction with Project Managers•Development of functional requirements in the form Functional Business Requirements•Work with appropriate development staff to assign man day efforts to FBR’s•Hand-off and explanation of FBRs to Development Staff•Development of business-scenario test scripts that reflect the customers use of the system•Documentation of customer operational processes and creation of Business Narrative Document•Internal Acceptance Testing – in particular the use of test scripts for Functional Business Requirements•Assistance and Guidance of Customer Acceptance Testing•Go live support •Post go-live operational audits.

Meridian IQ was a medium 3pl company who dealt with a number of different clients. The products handled within the site ranged from apparel customers including (Oakley, Dorothy Perkins, Evans, River Island and Brooks Sports Footwear) kitchenware products ( Eddingtons) and marine electronics manufacturer (Raymarine).This centre dealt with a very high turnaround of products according to seasonal activity. Inventory control was a very important factor to the clients due to the very high value or product being handled.Other Duties included;Set up and implementation of new 3pl logistics centre Implementation and training of new in house Warehouse Management SystemLead day - day operations.Direct contact with customers discussing KPI's and service levels.Constant inventory control and stock analysisDirect report of 100+ staff on various FMCG accounts. D-Link an IT network manufacturer with production facilities in Taiwan. Total number of sku's approx 3000.
