Respond to all Terminal emergencies including Trauma responseProgress and complete training plans and deliver training to ER personnel. Maintain the requirements of the Competency Assurance ModulesTake the lead in Fire and jetty routines Conduct training sessions in the use of Gas Monitors & Work at Height equipmentMaintain records for maintenance, vehicles and vessel log books Promote and comply with HS&E policies/guidelines Understand responsibilities under COMAH regulations. Perform onsite gas testing as required in line with company procedures and policies. Berth VLCC tankers, Connection/Disconnection of loading arms and spool pieces. Monitoring ship/shore interface including loading, unloading, discharging, de-ballasting and bunkering operations whilst alongside the jetty. Complete relevant paperwork for the operations in line with specific port rules and regulations. Carry out Pre-arrival and post departure checks, clean-up of jetty area to maintain good housekeeping. Sample vessels and pipelines – labelling samples and transporting to the laboratory for testing

A Primary responsibility for ensuring a prompt response to all Refinery and Jetty emergencies/incidents, Lead, direct and control the fire squad members to minimize casualties and damage to property.Effect rescue of any persons trapped or injured, and if necessary direct and administer first aid to ensure that all casualties receive the appropriate remedial action in the soonest possible time.Conduct all Safety Induction training to new starters and Contract staff, to ensure that all persons starting work on the Refinery are aware of the Safety requirements.Assist in ongoing training to relevant employees and Contractor personnel as well as Mid and West Wales Fire Brigade, to ensure confidence in the use of the complex Fire Fighting Equipment including The Williams Big Gun Monitor and High volume Pump and associated procedures on the Refinery and Jetty.Inspect, maintain and record the condition of all Refinery and Jetty Fire and Emergency equipment, and if possible make recommendations on any upgrading or improvements, to make certain that all equipment is maintained in a state of readiness.Collate, store, and maintain accurate records of:- Breathing apparatus - Building fire alarms- Fire hydrants - Fire hydrant isolating valves- Mobile and fixed monitors - Hose boxes and equipment- Harnesses and lines - Equipment loan book and any other related or appropriate records. Ensure that the Individual Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the staff detailed above is maintained and kept in good condition. Checks to be made on a six monthly basis and records kept.
