I managed the Lincolnshire Term Maintenance contract. The role involved the inspection and scoping of a wide variety of highway surfacing maintenance schemes. I undertook the program management and scheme management for all elements of the contract. Cost control and scheme efficiencies were targeted to ensure high quality, on program and customer satisfaction were achieved. Material and installation complaints were monitored and site investigation and cause analysis were conducted where appropriate.Specific KPI's for the contract were monitored and reported.

This was a very exciting role. A new start up company, that was producing and selling construction/geo-technical and educational testing equipment. The role required the sourcing and marketing of all the products to be sold on the international market. Small and large contract tenders were quoted and technical information compiled. All technical queries were vetted and an appropriate bespoke solution presented to the clients. I created a Product Database and all Product Datasheets.All aspects of a tender were undertaken, from product selection, quotation, ordering and shipping.

I was the Surfacing Manager for the Northern Region. The region undertakes highway works for private customers, minor and major contractors, Local Authorities and the Highways Agency. My role requires the managing of all contracts from estimating, planning, supply chain management, plant & labour resource management and cost and performance analysis. The responsibilities are varied, ranging from health & safety, environmental and quality compliance with the company integrated management system to customer liaison, auditing and training. The role is fast paced and the work requires completion to strict time critical deadlines. Site planning and co-ordination of all resource is fundamental to successful completion of schemes. Cost components must be managed to ensure financial performance targets are met.

I was the Technical Services Manager for the Central and Northern regions. My duties and responsibilities included: Managing the sampling and testing requirements, liaising with customers and maintain our service and quality standards, providing technical advice on mix design, pavement construction and design. Analysing and compiling test results and data, reporting on research activities and industry developments. Dealing with material and installation complaints. Auditing of our integrated management systems and site operations.

I was employed as the Technical Services Supervisor for the company. I worked with all levels of staff and management to ensure product quality and company adherence to ISO 9000.
