Ict Manager
Current• Prepare and maintain a strategy for the effective development, installation and maintenance of information technology systems in support of the Authority’s disparate range of services and management systems.• Plan and manage ICT budgets and IT resources. Ensuring proper management and development of the bidding and budgeting process for ICT funds. Adhere to Authority financial regulations including following the tender process.• Lead the Authority’s ICT related departmental working groups.• Liaise with Directors in preparing, implementing and reviewing a strategy with the objective of matching service delivery and effective ICT benefits to enhance the efficient operation of each department within a corporate framework, but within the relevant financial and operational constraints.• Develop procedures and supervise processes for the routine maintenance and basic operational support of the Authority’s ICT related systems and installations.• Manage and supervise the ICT Team (currently 3 full time staff).• Represent NPA on national ICT groups formed from all National Parks.• Strategic management of Authority data and information systems.• Develop and maintain the ICT Business Continuity strategy and Disaster Recovery plan including assessment and management of associated risks.• To manage the implementation of GIS and provide advice and guidance to the GIS Officer.• Develop and maintain a suitable programme to deliver adequate ICT infrastructure for the Authority to ensure consistent, reliable and robust ICT services.• Ensure technical and operational support of software systems in use including where appropriate developing in house software solutions.• Ensure the proper and adequate acquisition of ICT hardware and software, including software licences.
