CurrentI am a specialist commercial dispute resolution / employment solicitor. I provide advice to business clients from all sectors, from owner-managed businesses to multi-national businesses, on the full spectrum of commercial disputes including:• contractual disputes;• partnership and shareholder disputes;• professional negligence claims;• disputes relating to the purchase and sale of businesses;• defamation;• debt recovery;• intellectual property disputes. In addition, I advise businesses and individuals on all types of employment-related matters, including:• employment contracts, service agreements, staff handbooks and policies and procedures;• post-termination restrictive covenants;• disciplinary and conduct issues and procedures;• unfair and wrongful dismissal claims;• discrimination claims of all types;• redundancy procedures and restructuring;• termination of employment and settlement agreements;• business acquisitions and sales, including TUPE and due diligence.A good proportion of my work takes place before court or tribunal proceedings have been issued, when there is often the opportunity for a resolution to be achieved without the need for a claim to be issued. To this end, I am an advocate of and experienced in negotiation as well as other alternative forms of dispute resolution, such as mediation.
