I got into gastronomy early on through an internship as a kitchen hand. I quickly became a cook and eventually got into bartending, where I was able to earn the trust of my manager and became the head bartender at my restaurant. As the head bartender, I was responsible for managing a team of bartenders and ensuring that the bar ran smoothly on a daily basis. This required me to develop a range of skills, including leadership, communication, and organization. I was responsible for introducing new employees to the bar and training them on the menu, the equipment, and the procedures. I also had to handle some of the accounting tasks, such as keeping track of the bar's budget and making sure that all of the necessary supplies were ordered on time. In addition to managing the bar staff, I also had to interact with customers on a daily basis, which required me to be friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable about the various drinks and cocktails we offered. After working at the bar for a while, I decided to try my hand at working for an agency in Berlin, which gave me valuable experience in private and corporate events. Now, I run my own events business, using the skills and knowledge I gained through my various job experiences. Overall, my career in the food and beverage industry has been filled with challenges and accomplishments that have helped me grow both personally and professionally.
