Nuwave has developed a Software as a Service platform/framework that specialises in integrated portal solutions. The framework is adaptable to numerous commercial applications that is now being used by Local and Central government agencies in New Zealand.

A joint venture between Master Business Systems (MBS) and Nuwave Software Limited that are establishing themselves as gateway providers for service requests between industry and local government. GoCouncil were the chosen implementation partners to GoShift, a collective of 21 Councils, to provide New Zealand's first multi-council portal, which allows full digital submission and end-to-end management of the build consent process.

Webz Development delivers high-end web solutions to numerous small to medium businesses prominently in the Kapiti and greater Wellington region.Webz won the Owner Operator Business Excellence category for the Kapiti / Horowhenua Electra Business Awards in 2013 and was a finalist in 2015.

Provided IT and consulting services to the Department of Internal Affairs (through GoCouncil Limited) assisting on the Information Sharing for Business project, which developed a prototype portal focusing on the Government Result 9 indicator of achieving 25% more efficient business with Government by 2020.

Provided IT and management consulting services to industry training organisation, ServiceIQ, to assist with their digital transformation project and project managed the development and delivery of their assessment management system (AMS).

Assisted ASPEQ to extend their assessment management systems for the ETITO, now known as Skills.

Assisted the National Library, along with their integration partner Equinox, to deploy their new online digital archiving system. Provided expertise in Perl development, which enabled the new digital archiving system to be integrated with a legacy photographic archive system called Timeframes. Also assisted the project management develop a delivery plan and schedule for the ensuing 6 months of upgrades and deployments.

Simon joined EDS on contract to assist Telecom New Zealand Limited to close down their 025 TDMA network and to assist plan the testing strategy of moving Telecoms’ redundant TDMA mobile switches and relocate them into the PSTN / NEAX network.

Simon was then asked by Vodafone to setup the test team capability, lead the customer cutover, deployment and fault management teams for the $60 million programme that replaced its legacy rating engine. This role required the coordination of the build team, test team, technical operations and customer service team in order to deliver the new implementation into production and track down any faults that arose

Ezi-vue was a family company that developed an technology product for optical industry that assisted patients to choose their new spectacle frames when they visited the optician. Production units were sold in both New Zealand and Australia.

Simon was asked by Telecom New Zealand to head the design and integration teams for their number one strategic project for 2004, which was to implement a new mobile telephone service called Push-2-Talk. Push-2-Talk allows their latest Sanyo CDMA mobile telephones to operate like ‘walkie-talkies’. This project was a $15 million hardware and service installation. This system was initially developed by the Sprint (a mobile carrier in the US) in partnership with Motorola.

Team leader in the Enterprise Architecture Integration (EAI) team which provided message communications between Telecoms major provisioning and ICMS systems. The team provided expertise in system integration, migration and testing of new and legacy systems within Telecom’s mobile.

Simon’s consulted to Critchlow Associates to provide assistance in team management, business analysis, application development and data modelling. Simon was responsible for delivering client/server applications and ensuring acceptance testing was completed to the customer’s satisfaction.

Systems developer assisted in the development of the intelligence application and performance tester for the New Zealand Customs Service. The Customs modernisation project (CusMod) consisted of three client/server applications developed in Power-Builder, C++, Sybase DBMS and Entera middleware to manager their Intelligence, Goods & Services, and Boarder Control operations.
