Employed as the Manager for Engineering, Logistics and Contracts, core role deliverables included (but were not limited to):► Managed a team of 7 direct reports (4 engineers, 1 contracts lawyer), 1 warehouse superintendent, and 1 electrical infrastructure superintendent), ensuring they had all the skills, resources and support they needed to lead their teams to ensure the safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of site engineering, logistics and contracts management services► Managed OPEX and CAPEX budgets for all mechanical, structural, electrical, project engineering, facilities operations and maintenance, warehouse and contracts management requirements, including reliable water supply, power, cleaning, sewage, fire protection and diesel fuel to enable continuous production ► Set the stage (commissioning scheduled for December 2020) for an upgrade to an aged and inefficient sewage network and treatment plant, so-as to eliminate overflows and thereby ensure a continued Licence to Operate► Improved Contract Management System compliance for 130 key contracts, including 2 maintenance, supply and operational contracts mining contracts ► Optimised warehousing process to create strong savings, and implemented systems to improve compliance with the Heavy Vehicle National Law (QLD) Chain of Responsibility requirements► Implemented a computerised fuel tracking system to record all fuel deliveries and usage, which produced major savings ► Positively responded to a significant downturn in coal price.
