Having close to 20 years experience working within a Local Authority setting I have a wealth of experience including Adult and Children’s Education, and Commissioning Services for Children Looked After, working with internal and external stakeholders. My main areas of interest are the contract Residential Children’s Homes, Independent Foster Care Agencies, Family Assessment Centres and Supported Accommodation and the development of lasting relational commissioning, partnerships, referrals and intelligent matching, understanding the value of high quality referrals, developing packages of care and pathways for moving into or from residential children’s homes. I have developed quality assurance for Supported Accommodation and continue to work with the alignment of the new DfE regulations that will come into effect in April 2023. I consult with providers considering increasing of their children’s home portfolio as well as those new to the market or seeking to diversify from Supported Accommodation. Due to by wealth if experience and knowledge I am often called to offer strategic guidance to LA’s which may include planning pathways of care, staying put, strategies to manage and monitor children looked after and development of new services.
